4 Different Story Ideas

These are the 4 story ideas our group came up with relating to the theme

The first idea was about a boy who breaks his leg a day before his football trials and is now sidelined for a couple of months. After being stuck at home he is inspired to become professional after watching all the stars on TV, we follow his journey as he progresses to reach the top. This idea is very similar to the film Goal in which a young mexican boy starts from the bottom and then works his way up to become a professional and chase his dream. It is also relatable to Kacey from Waterloo Road who is determined to play the best she can after the death of Mr Clarkson who was almost like her mentor. 

The second idea is about a girl who is splashed by acid in her science class and everyone laughs at her after her face is quite burnt after the incident and is quite embarrassed. When she is recovering in hospital she is very self conscious and doesn't want to be seen but takes confidence from the girl next to her in a similar situation. This is similar to Imogen in waterloo road who has burn marks on her neck from a fire but found the confidence to not let other people judge her because of it. 

The third idea is about a boy who feels he isn't good at anything but one day at the park he sees some people playing football and is inspired by how good they are and wants to be on their level, we follow his journey as he progresses slowly to the level he aspires to after perseverance. This is similar to Rudimentals video to the song "Waiting All Night" in which there is a man with a disability who keeps trying to ride his bike up a ramp.

The fourth idea is about two boys who drift apart due to racial segregation which leads to a "war" between the different ethnic gangs, however it only takes one person to put a stop to all of this. This is similar to the film "Green Street" in which people are fighting over their football teams which they take very personally.
