Script - Version 1

Scene 1

INT. CLASSROOM, DAY.

Tracking shot shows CHARLIE BUTLER walking to the class where he is in detention. He looks at the board in disappointment and gives out a loud sigh. CHARLIE takes his seat in detention and hastily turns around to look at the clock and releases how agonisingly  slow time is passing, as he turns back round his disappointment is quickly turned into joy as he notices the girl his had his eyes on for the past year, SARAH JAYNE. With a massive grin on his face he then texts friend, HARRY FORSTER, and the text says ‘SARAH’S in detention with me!’.

Scene 2

EXT. OUTSIDE ON A BENCH, DAY.  

As soon as HARRY gets the message he runs the fastest he ever has in his life to try and help CHARLIE make the most of the situation he’s in. Being in such a rush HARRY slips and falls straight on to the ground, living up to his reputation of being quite clumsy. As he gets up his head slowly appears at the window to signal to CHARLIE to put his headphones in. HARRY watches on to observe their behaviour of the two to see how they react to each other. HARRY then walks off and unluckily for him the bell has just rung and is about to be trapped in a sea of pupils.

Scene 3

EXT. BUSHY AREA, DAY + INT. CLASSROOM,DAY

HARRY sets up outside and is ready to feed CHARLIE the lines and gives him a call to let him know. CHARLIE is sitting in detention wearing his headphones pretending he is listening to music but really he is listening to HARRY on the phone. HARRY then ends up walking straight into a swarm of bees.

“BUZZ OFF! GET OUT OF HERE!”

Shouted HARRY

However is oblivious to the fact that he is still on the phone and CHARLIE ends up shouting this at the girl and once he realises what he has said has just said and he covers his mouth in embarrassment with his eyes opened wide.

Scene 4

INT. CLASSROOM, DAY

HARRY moves nearer to the classroom as he realises the bushes are quite inconvenient. HARRY is now right next to the classroom in which CHARLIE and SARAH are. On his way to the class a boy near HARRY trips up and shouts “OH FOR GOD SAKE”, HARRY tries to make it to the class in time to signal to CHARLIE that he shouldn’t say that but its too late as the damage has already been done as he watches CHARLIE say the fateful lines.

“OH FOR GOD SAKE” shouts CHARLIE

Scene 5

INT. CLASSROOM, DAY/EXT.CLASSROOM, DAY

HARRY picks up all his equipment and hastily pops his head up again behind the window signalling to CHARLIE to move himself closer to SARAH. Bewildered from what has just happened, CHARLIE slowly edges his chair closer to SARAH. As he is sneakily trying to move closer to her, CHARLIE ends up falling off of his chair much to SARAHS amusement.

SARAH starts laughing to herself whilst CHARLIE is on the floor

Scene 6

EXT. OUTSIDE CLASSROOM NEAR BUSH, DAY

HARRY decides to go back outside as he can try and help rescue the situation however on his way out he gets smacked in the head by a football which sends him off balance causing him to fall into the bush behind him. Whilst HARRY is trying to get himself out of the kerfuffle he is in now in, CHARLIE and SARAH walk past together as HARRY watches on still trying to untangle himself from the bush, and to add to his misery CHARLIE slowly puts his arm around her and looks back at him smugly.
